Popular skit maker Kiekie has revealed that she avoids collaborating with content creators whose style she considers too vulgar, saying it comes down to protecting her brand.
Speaking during an interview, Kiekie was asked if there was any type of skit maker she would never work with.
“I would never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them,” she said.
When asked to mention specific names, Kiekie declined, saying she could not think of any individual in particular.
“Let me think about it. Hmmm. I don’t have a name of one but I have seen quite a number of them. So if you’re too much breasts, bumbum, not that I have a problem with it but it’s just brand alignment.
“My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean that I look down on what you do or I don’t respect what you do or I don’t see your hard work. I recognize your hard work but we just don’t align. It will affect the way my own brands are approaching my own work.”
Kiekie stressed that her decision is not a criticism of other creators or their content. According to her, every content creator has a unique style, but she chooses to work only with those whose content aligns with her brand identity and the expectations of the companies she represents.
