Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has been honoured with a traditional title by the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, during a visit to Iwo in Osun State.
The ceremony, held on Wednesday, saw VDM dressed in traditional Aso Oke as the monarch conferred on him the title, “Atayese One of Nigeria, Orisha Nla.”
Videos from the event captured the activist receiving the honour in the presence of the Oluwo, palace chiefs and other dignitaries.
The recognition comes after the monarch invited VeryDarkMan to Iwo, where both reportedly held extensive discussions on national development, leadership and good governance.
