The winners of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will receive a special reward alongside football’s most prestigious trophy, as FIFA has announced the introduction of championship rings for the tournament’s champions.
The historic initiative will be unveiled after the World Cup final on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium, where the new world champions will be crowned.
For the first time in FIFA competition history, members of the winning team will be presented with specially designed championship rings, a tradition widely associated with major American sports.
FIFA revealed that the rings are part of a limited collection of 2,026 individually numbered pieces created to commemorate the 2026 World Cup. Only 30 rings will be reserved for players and officials of the victorious team, while the remaining 1,996 will be made available to fans worldwide as Official Licensed Products.
Each ring will feature the FIFA World Cup Trophy on one side, while the other side will be customized to represent the champion nation. The rings will also be individually numbered, custom-fitted and accompanied by certificates of authenticity.
According to FIFA, the presentation will happen in two stages. Shortly after the final whistle, the winning team’s captain and head coach will receive temporary championship rings during the trophy presentation ceremony.
The permanent rings for all 30 recipients will then be specially tailored to fit each individual before being officially presented at a later date, providing a lasting reminder of their achievement on football’s biggest stage.
