The Elective Congress of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has slated been slated to hold i n Lafia, Nasarawa State on Saturday, 26th September this year.

 

The football house made this known in a communique issued after its Extraordinary General Assembly held in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State on Monday.

 

According to the communique; “the Congress approved a proposal by the Executive Committee for the staging of the 2026 Elective Congress of the Nigeria Football Federation in Lafia, Nasarawa State on Saturday, 26th September 2026.”

 

Furthermore the Congress, voting on proposals by the Executive Committee, unanimously approved the amendments to the NFF Statutes (March 2026 Edition), the NFF Electoral Code and the Standing Orders of the General Assembly, as presented.

 

The Congress, based on proposals by leaders of the six (6) geopolitical zones, approved the appointment of twelve (12) persons (two from each geopolitical zone) to serve on the NFF Electoral Committee and the NFF Electoral Appeals Committee.

 

Meanwhile, the congress unanimously passed vote of confidence on the NFF Executive Committee, led by its President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, for their ongoing efforts in robustly developing the game of football across the length and breadth of Nigeria
