Destiny Etiko has revealed that her first attempt at sports betting ended in a painful N5 million loss, prompting her to quit for good.
The Nollywood actress had backed Argentina to overcome Spain in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, but the outcome went against her prediction, costing her millions.
Beyond the financial setback, Etiko said the emotional pressure of watching the match was overwhelming, adding that the anxiety she experienced has made her lose interest in both betting and football.
Reacting to the loss, she wrote, “First time betting and I lost 💔😭 Will never try it again. In fact am done watching football. Anxiety almost killed me 💔.”
