Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has appointed the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran, to head the Allied People’s Movement (APM) presidential campaign in the state.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Suleimon Olanrewaju, Adeniran will also serve as the Director-General of the APM Governorship Campaign Council for Oyo State.
The APM has already nominated former Commissioner for Finance, Bimbo Adekanmbi, who served under the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 election.
The campaign council also includes former Oyo East Local Government Chairman, Saheed Arowosaye, who was named deputy coordinator, while the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, will serve as Deputy Director-General for the South.
Olanrewaju added that Governor Makinde, the APM presidential candidate, is expected to officially inaugurate the campaign council on Friday at the conference room of the Governor’s Office.
