Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has drawn inspiration from Davido’s newly released album, Oriadé, using several of its song titles to energise his campaign for a second term in office.
Sharing a message on X on Friday, the governor said he had been listening to the album while travelling for his re-election campaign and linked its themes to his time in office.
Adeleke maintained that despite criticism from his opponents, he remains confident of winning the August 15 governorship election.
He wrote:
«“On the road again for the Imole re-election campaign, and I’m listening to Oriadé, the new album by my nephew #davido, which is constantly reminding me of the amazing grace that has been my light and guide this last three and a half years that I have been Governor of Osun State.»
«They say my call for peace is weak, but I know who I be. Tell everybody: Imole is winning his re-election on August 15.»
«If you ask Julie or anyone in Osun State, they will tell you no vacancy in Abeere. Those perpetuating violence against our people are already falling.»

The governor’s post was shared just hours after Davido officially released Oriadé, his sixth studio album, celebrating 15 years of his career in the music industry.
