Beauty entrepreneur Diiadem has opened up about a surprising incident involving former friend Dabota Lawson, revealing that Lawson sent her ₦5 million for her birthday before asking her to return the money.
According to Diiadem, she initially posted the bank alert while celebrating Lawson, only to later be told that the money was part of what was described as a “girls game” and had to be refunded. She said she returned the full amount immediately.
The revelation comes amid the public fallout between the two women and growing speculation about what led to the end of their friendship.
Sharing her side of the story on social media, Diiadem said she had noticed the criticism and alleged smear campaigns against her and decided to address some of the issues.
She wrote:
“Just to put this out there, I have seen all the hate train and the smear campaigns about me online.. I’d like to set some records straight depending on my mood.
“Let’s start with this ..
“Anyone remembered this is aler alert I posted hyping Dabota? Well as soon as it was posted. I was told it’s called “girls game” and needs to be returned. Which I did immediately. Check time and date on my next post.”
She later shared evidence of the transaction and captioned it simply: “Refunded.”
Diiadem also responded to a post by Tosin questioning whether Dabota had shared information about her with blogs.
She claimed Dabota did share her “gist” with blogs and alleged that the incident happened alongside Sophia Momodu during the show.
“Oh yes she did! She did with Sophia Momodu during the show and she confirmed it herself because she couldn’t stand her. Why is mine special?” Diiadem wrote.
