American rapper Offset has been hospitalised after he was shot near a casino in Florida on Monday.
The rapper, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus and known for his role in the hip-hop group Migos, was injured close to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood.
His representative confirmed the incident, revealing that he is currently receiving treatment and is in stable condition under close medical supervision.
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored.”
Details about what triggered the shooting have not yet been made public, as authorities continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The development has stirred concern among fans, coming years after the tragic loss of fellow Migos member Takeoff, who was shot and killed in November 2022.
