The family dispute over the late Nigerian singer Mohbad has taken a new turn as his widow, Wunmi Aloba, fired back at his father, Joseph Aloba, over the lingering DNA test issue concerning their grandson, Liam.
Wunmi insisted that Baba Mohbad must follow court orders, warning that any refusal could drag the matter into a prolonged legal battle. She added that he would need to “beg” her for progress to be made.
She also clarified that she has always supported the idea of a DNA test, contrary to claims by Mohbad’s father. According to her, previous attempts to explain her position privately were ignored. Wunmi dismissed allegations that she had chosen an unverified hospital for the test, calling the claim false and something she deliberately did not address earlier.
“I’ll keep proving that your actions won’t affect me. What the court asked you to do, beg me. Refusing to comply with court orders means we’re in for a long battle. I’m glad you finally acknowledged you have no power over Liam. Whether it’s the High Court, Ikeja, or Appeal Court, the truth remains unchanged.
My people have been trying to make you see that I was the one who asked for a DNA test, but you never believed them. Now that the truth is out, I hope it has been established. If I had refused from the start, no progress would have been made. You falsely claimed I chose a fake hospital, a lie I intentionally didn’t debunk so you could enjoy the moment,” she said.
