The Federal Government has introduced a fresh upward adjustment in peculiar allowances and welfare benefits for civil servants across the country.
The announcement was made on Friday in Abuja by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, who explained that the decision is intended to improve the overall earnings of government workers and raise morale within the public sector.
According to her, the new adjustments apply to employees on both the Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS) and the Consolidated Research and Allied Institutions Salary Structure (CONRAISS), ensuring that a wide range of civil servants benefit from the move.
She added that the revised allowance framework has been spread across all grade levels, allowing both junior and senior officers to enjoy increased take-home pay under the new arrangement.
