Phyna has shared that she sometimes finds herself wishing she were a man, pointing to what she believes are the added pressures society places on women.

Speaking on her podcast, she discussed how gender expectations shape ambition and success differently for men and women.

She said men are generally expected to focus on working hard and achieving financial stability, with fewer societal barriers placed in their way.

In contrast, she argued that women often face stricter scrutiny, judgment, and a long list of expectations that can restrict their freedom to pursue certain goals.

According to her, these societal “rules” placed on women can make their journey more complicated compared to that of men.

She also suggested that such pressures may discourage some women from fully chasing ambitious dreams or stepping outside traditional roles.

“I low-key wish I were a man. I feel it’s much easier for guys, but, did girls, we’ve been stigmatised, and there are so many rules and regulations covering us”, she said.
