Bimbo Ademoye has been captured in a tense exchange with a group of men who disrupted an outdoor movie shoot and demanded money from her production team.
A video of the incident, which surfaced on X after being shared by user #Usmanashafe, quickly went viral and has since stirred fresh debate about alleged extortion of film crews during location shoots in parts of Nigeria.
In the clip, the men are seen confronting the crew and insisting on what they called a “settlement” before allowing filming to continue, a demand often associated with unofficial levies imposed on productions in public spaces.
Ademoye, visibly firm in her response, made it clear she was not opposed to appreciating people around her set but rejected any form of forced payment.
“I am a street girl, let me tell you. Ask around, when it comes to matters of the street, I like settling boys. But you don’t come to me and tell me to give you a certain amount,” she said.
When one of the men insisted he was not begging, she fired back immediately:
“Yes, you came to beg. You are even being proud of it,” she said.
The situation escalated briefly when a member of the group threatened to shut down the production’s camera equipment. Ademoye responded sharply: “Camera that nobody in your generation has.”
Although the confrontation caused disruption on set, no violence was recorded in the video, and the men, estimated to be between three and five, were not seen carrying weapons.
The incident has since generated widespread reactions online, with many users praising the actress for her calmness and refusal to be intimidated while maintaining control of the situation.
