UK-based Nigerian man Ugo, who recently announced the end of his marriage, has given more details about the divorce, insisting his estranged wife will not benefit financially from him due to a prenuptial agreement they signed before marriage.

Ugo had earlier confirmed on social media that his divorce has been finalised, referring to his former partner as his ex-wife and stating that the relationship is officially over.

When asked by an online user whether property would be shared equally, he replied that a prenup was in place, meaning no 50/50 settlement would apply.

In further comments, Ugo also alleged that his ex-wife’s family attempted to have him deported by filing what he described as a false domestic violence report against him.

He claimed the allegation was investigated by social services and found to be untrue, saying the situation eventually backfired.

According to him, his estranged wife is now back in Lagos and staying at her father’s house.

He wrote: “UGO’s wife. UGO’s wife. Divorce is finalised. It’s ex-wife.”

On the question of asset sharing, he stated simply: “Signed a prenup.”

Addressing the deportation allegation, he added: “Her family got her deported by trying to get me deported with false DV accusations that was investigated by social services who found it to be false and it backfired. She’s in Lagos, in her father’s house.”
