Bobrisky has sparked reactions online after criticizing individuals who attended the recently concluded 12th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) without official invitations.
The annual ceremony, the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, is known for celebrating excellence in African film, television and digital entertainment, and it once again drew a large crowd of actors, filmmakers, influencers and celebrities, alongside its usual glitz and red-carpet moments.
Following the event, Bobrisky took aim at people who allegedly showed up without any direct involvement in the film industry or formal invitations, questioning the motive behind such attendance.
He also mocked those who went as far as hiring stylists, makeup artists, photographers and luxury cars just to appear at the event, despite having no nomination or official role at the ceremony.
According to him: “Now dis one is for those of you that has nothing to do with acting movie, no invitation from AMVCA, you are not part of the nominee yet you book makeup artist, stylist, photographer, hire a car just to attend an event you aren’t invited too you one of the Nigeria problem and the most CLASSLESS human on earth. Honor an invitation not just to branch where you ain’t invited.”
