Popular social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted after presidential aide Bayo Onanuga reportedly demanded legal action over an AI-generated audio allegedly linked to President Bola Tinubu.

The controversial audio clip allegedly featured a voice sounding like Tinubu admitting to intentionally allowing insecurity in Nigeria for political gain ahead of the 2027 elections.

Amid the backlash that followed the circulation of the recording, Onanuga reportedly condemned the spread of fake AI-generated content involving the president and called for those behind it to be investigated.

Reacting in a video, VDM questioned why attention was being placed on the audio instead of the reported abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Ogbomoso.

“You see this voice note, I will not defend it. Now they have mouth to talk, whereas bandits went to kidnap school children and teachers in Oyo State, where were they? It’s only stupid people that will believe that video,” he said.

VDM also sympathised with teachers affected by insecurity, noting that the issue hits close to home because his mother is a teacher.
