The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) on Tuesday took to the streets of Ikeja, Lagos State, in a solidarity rally over the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.

In a video shared online, a large number of protesters were seen marching and demanding urgent action from authorities to ensure the safe rescue of the victims.

The demonstrators carried placards with different messages, including “End the religion of fear in our schools” and “Let teachers teach in peace,” calling for stronger protection of schools and learning environments.

The protest adds to growing public pressure on the government and security agencies to intensify efforts toward securing the release of the abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo State.
