The family of Mrs Busayo John-Paul, sister to former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, is still awaiting any communication from the abductors of her and her twin sons.
The victims, 12-year-old twins identified as Peter and Paul, were reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday, June 3, in the Challenge area of Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State by unidentified armed men.
Speaking on the development, an aide to Adelabu, Femi Awogboro, confirmed that there has been no contact from the kidnappers since the incident occurred.
He said security agencies were already working on the case and had assured the family of efforts to secure the safe return of the victims.
“We are still searching, security agencies are still on it and they have promised safe return of the victims. Since yesterday, the family is unsettled, the victim’s husband, who is not in Nigeria, is not happy at all, but he said he believes that security agencies in Nigeria are capable of securing release of his wife and children,” he said.
Awogboro also called on security operatives to intensify efforts to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted mother and her children as search operations continue in the area.
