Nigerian content creator Peller has moved to end his nationwide tour earlier than planned following the uproar that trailed his recent visit to the Benin Kingdom.
The controversy intensified after reports claimed that the Queen of the Benin Kingdom could be facing possible expulsion over issues connected to his visit, sparking heated reactions online and within cultural circles.
Reacting to the situation, Peller admitted he is tired of the criticism that seems to follow him from state to state, suggesting he will scale back his movement across the country.
“I’m no more doing tour. My tour has come to an end. I’ll just tour two Yoruba states and that is the end. People don’t like me; anytime I enter a state, they criticize me.”
His comments have stirred mixed reactions, with supporters insisting he is being unfairly judged, while critics argue that his presence in sensitive traditional settings continues to provoke unnecessary controversy.
With the situation still unfolding, it remains to be seen whether Peller will fully step away from the tour or reconsider his decision in the coming days.
