The traditional ruler of Arochukwu in Abia State has stirred reactions after making comments suggesting that the late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo may have left behind an unborn child.
This came on Wednesday, June 17, when the actor’s remains arrived in his hometown ahead of burial arrangements scheduled for June 18.
During the procession, the convoy carrying Ekubo’s body made a stop at the palace of the Eze of Arochukwu, where prayers were offered for the late actor and his family.
While addressing those present, the monarch prayed for the continuation of Ekubo’s lineage and referenced reports that his wife may be expecting a child.
“The child we hear she’s carrying will do exploits more than his father,” the traditional ruler said during the prayer.
He also prayed for the protection of the unborn child and expressed hope that the actor’s legacy would live on through future generations.
