Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has been laid to rest in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State, following an emotional funeral ceremony attended by family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers.
The actor was buried on Thursday, June 18, with scores of entertainers, businessmen, clerics, and residents gathering to bid him a final farewell.
Emotional scenes played out throughout the ceremony as mourners paid tribute to the late actor, whose death on May 11 shocked the entertainment industry and his fans.
The burial came after a wake held on Wednesday night in Arochukwu, where family members, fellow actors, and close associates gathered to celebrate his life and honour his memory.
Ekubo died after battling kidney cancer.
He was 40 years old.
