Eyiyemi Afolayan, the daughter of acclaimed filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, has opened up about her views on marriage, relationships, and financial stability.
Sharing her personal stance, Eyiyemi said she would never consider becoming a second or third wife and is also unwilling to build a future with a man who is financially struggling.
According to her, her opinion is based on what she has seen and experienced over time, particularly regarding how some men behave after attaining financial success.
“I can’t be a second or third wife to any man. I also can’t build with a man because some men are ingrates. If I should marry a struggling man, he will stay with me and be dedicated to me, not because he loves me but because he has no money at that time to be flirting around.
“Once he has money, he becomes promiscuous.
‘I’m from a well-to-do home, so I will have to marry a man who has something going on in his life, not a poor man starting from zero.”
Her remarks have sparked conversations online about relationships, loyalty, and the role of financial stability in choosing a life partner.
