Nigerian content creator Peller has responded after rapper YCee referenced him while criticizing what he believes is a growing disregard for education in the country.

During a recent interview, YCee expressed concern over the value society places on academic achievement, claiming that ignorance is increasingly being embraced and celebrated.

“Nigerian society is no longer celebrating academic excellence. It’s not even Yahøø culture anymore; now we have a ‘Peller culture.’ This ‘Olodo’ uprising we are witnessing is terrible. It feels like we are trying so hard to accommodate ignorance so people won’t feel bad, and now they seem to be the majority. The massive att@ck on Nigeria’s educational system is alarming, aside from kidn@ppings and Bøko Haram att@cks.”

Peller did not take the comments lightly and quickly reacted on social media, calling out the rapper over the statement.

“Some OG ehn there no deserve respect this kind Ycee man now see watin elderly man dey talk una wey dey bring music promotion to olodo.”

His response has generated mixed reactions online, with some users defending YCee’s concerns about education, while others backed Peller and accused the rapper of unfairly targeting him.

The exchange has since become a talking point on social media, drawing attention from fans of both entertainers.
