The online feud between social media activist VeryDarkMan and singer Seun Kuti has intensified, with both men exchanging sharp remarks over activist Omoyele Sowore and his recent detention.

VeryDarkMan, in a lengthy series of posts on his Instagram Story, insisted that although he supports calls for Sowore’s release, he does not believe in the activist’s political ambitions or methods.

“Like I said SOWORE can never be president of this country Seun KUTI you can cry forever… the only reason why I want him out is because WTF is the Tinubu government holding him for, saying Tinubu is a thief, the Tinubu government are robbing Nigerians and that is fact.”

He also rejected claims that he should align himself with Sowore, stressing that no one could pressure him into offering full support.

“Una no fit emotionally blackmail me to give Sowore my 100 percent support… I don’t believe in him at all and that’s my opinion… I WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU AND OMOYELE SOWORE.”

The activist further reminded Seun Kuti that he had publicly supported the singer during his 2023 legal troubles, despite believing he was wrong.

“Seun KUTI say VDM should stand one side LOL… when you slapped a police man on duty a lot of us knew you were wrong, guess what, we still made videos saying #FreeSeunKuti.”

VeryDarkMan also accused Seun Kuti of tribal bias and claimed the singer had previously taken a different stance regarding Sowore before changing his position.

Replying, Seun Kuti dismissed VeryDarkMan’s comments and maintained his support for Sowore.

“Trading insults with man wey don give another man hand job is a beech move.

“We Dey here. Una no fit kill Sowore. Case closed. We don see Una plan. That’s all that needs to be said.

“Bob Marley say: who the cap fit, let them wear it. I say – Hit dogs holler.”
