Actress Victoria Inyama has shared fresh claims about the events leading up to the death of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, saying a well-known Nigerian pastor was allegedly prevented from helping him despite being willing to cover the cost of his medical treatment.
Her remarks followed recent statements by Alexx’s relatives, David Ekubo and Clinton Ekubo, who questioned the circumstances surrounding the actor’s illness, death and burial.
Reacting to David Ekubo’s post, Victoria alleged that the unnamed pastor repeatedly sought access to Alexx but was always told by a woman close to him that he was doing well.
“@davidekubo I know how difficult it was for you to come here….I know how far you went for a dialogue……this may not be the best but that’s fine……. without mentioning names….one of the biggest/ Kindest Pastor in Nigeria tried to help but was always told by Her that Alex is Fine!…… D Pastor pushed to get access but was always blocked…..If that Pastor was allowed access, whatever it would cost in this world, we would have all rallied round Abroad……. The Pastor was Not even told when Alewas in hospital, he was only called when Alex died….bear in mind that the Pastor was not offering ‘miracle ‘ he is very Practical and was ready to foot any medical bill any where in the world…..any genuine mother would accept help to try anything and everything……that’s the part that hurts me……cancer has multiple treatment options these days but it’s all good. Nnam biko just remember Dède is very vulnerable now”
Alexx Ekubo’s family had earlier disclosed that the actor died after battling advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
