Everton delivered a dominant display at Goodison Park, claiming a commanding 3-0 victory over Chelsea to register their first Premier League home win of the season against a top-half side and dent the visitors’ ambitions of finishing in the top four.

Pressure continues to mount on Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior, whose side struggled to find rhythm once again. Early on, goalkeeper Robert Sánchez nearly gifted the hosts an opener after hesitating in possession, but he managed to recover just in time to deny Beto.

Everton came close moments later when James Garner fired a low effort toward goal, only for Malo Gusto to make a crucial clearance on the line.

Chelsea pushed for a response, with Enzo Fernández testing the Everton defence, but the visitors’ hopes quickly faded. A sharp counter-attack saw Idrissa Gana Gueye set up Beto, who struck powerfully, with the ball slipping through Sánchez and into the net.

Beto remained a constant threat and was instrumental again as Everton sealed the win. Rising highest to win a header, he set up Iliman Ndiaye, who surged forward before firing a stunning shot into the top corner.

It was a perfect outing for David Moyes’ side, who now sit just two points behind Chelsea, boosting their hopes of securing European football next season.
