Afrobeats star Davido has shared words of advice for aspiring musicians, encouraging them to remain focused on God even after achieving fame and success.
During an interview with Kiss Xtra, the singer said confidence, consistency and a deep love for music were essential to his journey, urging young artistes to keep developing their talents.
“My advice for up-and-coming artistes is first of all, believe in yourself. I worked on my craft so much. I loved music so much that I just wanted to get better every time. When I was young, I was learning from YouTube and the people around me,” he said.
Davido explained that while success is rewarding, it also comes with challenges that can easily distract people from what truly matters.
He therefore advised rising stars to stay close to God and remember the source of their achievements.
“Secondly, love what you do and put God first and close, especially when you make it because there are so many distractions that can make you forget He is the reason you are here,” he added.
