Veteran Nollywood actor Abiodun Ayoyinka has unveiled a new stage name, officially rebranding himself as Bondu Alaska after years of being synonymous with the character Papa Ajasco.

In a video shared on Instagram, the actor introduced himself to fans under the new identity. “Ladies and Gentlemen, good morning Nigerians. My name is Bondu Alaska. The one and only Bondu Alaska,” he said, signaling a fresh start in his career.

Abiodun also took the opportunity to thank Nigerians for their continued support, especially following a recent viral interview. “I want to use this medium to thank Nigerians because they have done a lot in my life. I’m a new person now, and I promise that I will not let you down,” he added.

He has updated his social media handles to reflect the new name and encouraged fans, brands, and collaborators to engage with him as Bondu Alaska going forward.

The announcement comes in the wake of a public disagreement with Wale Adenuga, founder of Wale Adenuga Productions, over the use of the Papa Ajasco name and image, marking a clear break from the character that brought him fame.
