Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has ordered the immediate removal of all his political aides as part of a shake-up within his administration.
The development was disclosed in an official statement issued on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
Those affected by the decision include all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants serving the governor.
“In the ongoing drive to enhance efficiency and deepen service delivery, Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has relieved all political aides of their duties with immediate effect.
“Those affected are Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the Governor.
“The governor thanked them for their contributions to the development of the State thus far and wished them well in their future endeavours.”
The statement also indicated that the governor has approved the recruitment of about 1,000 new aides, who will be selected from the 203 wards spread across the state’s 18 local government areas, in a bid to strengthen governance and improve coordination.
