Antoine Griezmann is on the verge of completing a move to MLS side Orlando City SC, with negotiations now at an advanced stage ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Atlético de Madrid forward has reportedly been given the green light by his club to travel to Florida during the FIFA international break, allowing him to continue discussions over the proposed deal.

Sources close to the situation disclosed that the French star has been in talks with the MLS club for several weeks, using his free time to move negotiations forward as both sides work towards an agreement.

Orlando City holds Griezmann’s “discovery rights,” an MLS rule that gives the club first priority in signing him.

The 35-year-old remains a legendary figure at Atlético Madrid, where he is the club’s all-time leading scorer with 211 goals.
