The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday sealed a property connected to former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, in Maitama, Abuja.

According to reports, EFCC operatives, led by an official identified as Folarin Dare, arrived in multiple buses and secured the residence at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street.

Dressed in the commission’s distinctive red and black jackets and carrying arms, the team barricaded the property, preventing anyone from entering.

The operation marks the most visible step in an ongoing investigation dating back to Malami’s time as Attorney-General under former President Muhammadu Buhari. The probe centers on allegations of financial misconduct and controversial asset dealings during his tenure.
