At least six health workers were reportedly kidnapped during a pre-dawn raid on a health centre in the Oke Ijebu area of Akure, the capital of Ondo State.

Eyewitnesses said the assailants arrived around 2:00 a.m. in a bus and forced their way into the facility, which is located opposite Mega School.

The gunmen allegedly rounded up all staff on duty, including interns, and took them away in the vehicle to an undisclosed location. Patients present at the time were left unharmed but were visibly shaken by the ordeal.

Local residents described the attack as alarming and called on security agencies to intervene urgently, secure the safe release of the abducted workers, and prevent further incidents.

As of the latest reports, no official statement has been issued by authorities regarding the abduction.
