Content creator Kiekie has opened up about how she keeps her personal life separate from her professional work.

Speaking at The Creative Blueprint 2.0, she explained why her husband, Tunji Ilori, never appears in her content, noting simply, “he is not funny.” She emphasized that her brand revolves around comedy, and including him would not align with that focus.

Kiekie occasionally features her daughter, Nola, in videos, saying, “she is made for the camera,” but stresses this happens sparingly, mostly during school breaks.

Highlighting the importance of boundaries, she said, “I have created a very thick line between what is personal to me as Oluwabukunmi Adeaga Ilori and what is personal to my brand as Kiekie.” She clarified that her brand centers on her roles as an event and TV host, actor, and content creator, with comedy at its core.

Kiekie also urged fellow content creators to exercise caution when involving family members, warning, “We overmilk viral moments until it becomes annoying. And that is where oversharing comes in.”
