The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has announced new appointments for Commissioners of Police (CPs) in Lagos, Ogun, and several other states.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Anthony Placid, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, in an official statement.
According to the release, Olatunji Fatai has been appointed the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State. He takes over from Moshood Jimoh, who has been redeployed to Zone 2, Lagos, following his promotion to Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).
The statement added that the postings are part of the Force’s strategy to maintain an effective command structure and ensure the strategic deployment of personnel across commands, formations, and departments.
The Inspector-General said the redeployments are intended to strengthen operations, boost leadership capacity, and enhance service delivery throughout the country.
