Senator Iyabo Obasanjo, an APC governorship aspirant in Ogun State, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to strengthening democracy and providing effective leadership to advance the country.

Obasanjo shared the commendation in a Tuesday statement, reflecting on her recent meeting with the President in Lagos, which she described as both productive and insightful. Their discussion focused on governance, leadership, and the continued development of Nigeria and Ogun State.

“Yesterday in Lagos, I had the privilege of meeting His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Our conversation was forward-looking, focusing on leadership, governance, and the development of our nation and Ogun State,” she said, expressing appreciation for the President’s guidance and dedication to nurturing future leaders.

Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Obasanjo emphasized her readiness to serve with integrity and a people-centered approach. She highlighted her experience in Ogun State politics as a former Senator representing Ogun Central and former Commissioner for Health, noting that understanding the state’s challenges is key to effective leadership.

Outlining her vision for Ogun State, Obasanjo said, “If given the opportunity to serve as governor, I will prioritize education, healthcare, and job creation for our youths. We need a state where schools produce future leaders, health institutions meet citizens’ needs, and young people have meaningful employment.”

She concluded by reaffirming her commitment to delivering tangible development across all sectors of Ogun State, aiming to improve the quality of life for all residents.
