The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 22 individuals, including the manager of Stephrica Guest Palace in Kureken Sani, Kumbotso Local Government Area, over alleged immoral activities.

The suspects were apprehended during a raid on the hotel on Wednesday following intelligence received from residents.

Deputy Commandant of the board, Dr. Mujahid Aminudeen, confirmed to PUNCH Online that the group included 10 males and 11 females.

He noted that most of the occupants, 21 in total, are teenagers aged between 12 and 19 years. “We are using this opportunity to warn hotel owners against allowing underage persons access to their facilities or face sanctions,” Aminudeen said.

The deputy commandant stressed that the board will continue enforcing Shari’a-compliant moral standards and urged residents to report suspicious activities.

He added that the identities of the suspects, including the hotel manager, will be disclosed after investigations, and they will be charged in court once the legal process is concluded.
