King Charles III and Queen Camilla welcomed Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi, at Windsor Castle during a formal ceremony at the Royal Dais.
The Nigerian leaders were presented to the Royal Family by Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales. The event featured a full display of royal honours, including a 42-gun salute by the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.
President Tinubu left Nigeria on Tuesday for the state visit, which aims to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
The visit is set to focus on deepening bilateral relations, encouraging foreign investment, and fostering collaboration in key areas such as trade, security, and education, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria–UK relations.
