Former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is preparing to officially cross over to the African Democratic Congress on Monday.

The planned defection will take place at his Gidan Kwankwasiyya residence on Miller Road in Kano State, as disclosed in a statement by the Kwankwasiyya Movement through its spokesperson, Habibu Sale Mohammed.

According to Mohammed, the decision by Kwankwaso and members of the movement reflects their determination to deepen democracy and promote responsible governance across the country.

“We have always been committed to the betterment of our state and the nation at large. This strategic decision is aimed at strengthening democratic principles and promoting inclusive leadership that genuinely reflects the will and aspirations of the people.

“Democracy must be protected, and the will of the people must always be respected. This decision is in line with our unwavering commitment to democratic values and good governance.”

The group also directed its supporters nationwide to immediately integrate into the ADC’s structure at the ward, local government, and state levels.

Members were further encouraged to fully engage in party activities and play an active role in building the party’s strength and influence across all levels of governance.
