Afrobeats star Burna Boy has shared his side of the story following his viral clash with DJ Tunez.
In a video circulated on X by his associate, Benny, the singer was seen speaking to Shallipopi, where he downplayed reports that the DJ was attacked by a group of people.
“no be 10 people beat DJ Tunez, na only me and na only two slaps i give am.
i swear with my mama, if i dey lie make ogun carry my mama go anywhere wey Wizkid mama dey… Dj Tunez carry 10 men come, as dem see me na him dem run
he come go dey tweet, i think say he go send squad. na internet their own power dey. I even think say him Oga (Wizkid) go do something, na tweet him come dey tweet”
According to Burna Boy, he was the only one involved in the physical confrontation, insisting that DJ Tunez had arrived with several men who allegedly fled the scene. He also criticized the DJ for resorting to social media afterward, saying he initially expected a stronger response, possibly involving his boss, Wizkid.
The incident, said to have taken place at a gathering in Lagos, has sparked widespread reactions online, with fans divided over the conflicting versions of events.
