Nigeria recorded a 2-1 win over Iran in an international friendly held in Antalya, Turkey on Friday.

Despite missing key players like Victor Osimhen and Stanley Nwabali, head coach Eric Chelle named a solid lineup that delivered early results. Moses Simon put the Super Eagles ahead in the sixth minute, finishing off a brilliant solo run.

The lead was extended in the second half when Akor Adams converted after a well-worked move involving Ademola Lookman. Iran reduced the deficit through Mehdi Taremi, but Nigeria held on to secure the victory.

The Super Eagles will return to action on Tuesday with another friendly against Jordan, as part of a four-nation invitational tournament that also includes Costa Rica.
