Portable has opened up about his struggles with low streaming revenue, despite consistently dropping new songs each month and having fans across the globe.
In a recent video, the singer appealed to music mogul Don Jazzy for advice on how to turn his streams into better earnings.
He revealed that his Apple Music income is far below what he expected, pointing out that Nigerian streams are reportedly undervalued. Portable also questioned why his international streams don’t seem to generate significant revenue.
The “Zazu” crooner asked Don Jazzy to guide him on how to maximize his streaming earnings, insisting that with the right strategy, he could surpass other Nigerian artists.
“I’ve been putting out songs every month, but the money I’m making is too low. They say Nigerian streams are cheap, but I have fans in America and all over the world. Where’s that money coming from? Don Jazzy, help me learn how to earn more from streaming. If you teach me, I can become bigger than all the artists in Nigeria.”
