Vice-President Kashim Shettima on Monday visited former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai to mourn the passing of his mother, Hajiya Fatima Umma.

The late Hajiya Umma died on March 27 in Cairo, Egypt, at the age of 96.

During the visit to the El-Rufai family residence in Abuja, Shettima called on Nigerians to set aside political differences and work together for national unity. He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the late matriarch’s soul.

Shettima was received by prominent figures, including former Bauchi State governor Ahmad Muazu and retired General Abdurrahman Dambazau, former Chief of Army Staff, among others.
