Nollywood actress Sunshine Rosman shared a heartfelt video online, expressing her anguish over Nigeria’s growing insecurity and economic struggles.
In the video, posted on her Instagram story on Sunday, Sunshine appeared in tears as she reflected on what she described as worsening living conditions across the country. She criticized the lack of action in the face of pressing issues affecting ordinary Nigerians.
She highlighted challenges such as widespread poverty, failing infrastructure, and the displacement of communities due to recurring attacks, particularly in parts of Northern Nigeria. Many residents, she noted, have been forced to leave their homes in search of safety, yet little is being done to address the crisis.
Speaking directly to the nation, Sunshine questioned when Nigerians would take a stand and expressed concern over the ongoing loss of lives.
“When are we going to wake up as Nigerians? When is it finally going to be enough? We can’t even begin to talk about the economy right now, the poverty rates. We can’t even start on the lack of infrastructure in this country. That’s not bad enough. People, especially Christians in the North, are constantly being slaughtered. Lives are being lost for nothing. People are forced to leave their towns, their homes, their villages because they know nothing will be done. I swear it’s not normal. I swear to God this is not normal…,” she said, visibly emotional.
Sunshine’s video has since sparked conversations online, with many sharing their concern over the issues she highlighted and calling for stronger action to protect vulnerable communities.
