United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer has insisted he will not change his stance on the conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, despite mounting pressure.

Speaking at a briefing on Wednesday, Starmer emphasized that the UK’s decision to stay out of the war is guided by national interest.

His remarks came a day after US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that the United States would no longer support the UK, pointing to disputes over oil transactions in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump also warned that the US might consider pulling out of NATO.

Responding to the comments, Starmer said external pressure and public “noise” would not influence his position.

“I am not going to change my position on the war. Whatever the pressure or the noise, I am the British prime minister; I have to attain our national interest,” he said in a video circulating widely on X.
