A new feud has erupted between social activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and human rights campaigner Omoyele Sowore over the detention of entrepreneur B-Lord.

VDM expressed disappointment that Sowore publicly called for B-Lord’s release without first consulting him privately, despite their reportedly cordial relationship. He suggested he might have considered stepping back from the matter out of respect if Sowore had sought his input beforehand.

The confrontation escalated as VDM accused Sowore of trying to “test his strength” and warned that he would not hesitate to take legal action if his name or image was used without consent in connection with the case. He dismissed Sowore’s involvement as unserious, mockingly referring to him as “funny” and even labelling him a “comedian.”

VDM stated: “If dem born you well Omoyele Sowore, use my picture just like B Lord did ok Billboard without my approval, me VeryDarkMan will send you to pr!son.”

The clash underscores growing tensions in Nigeria’s activist circles, highlighting how differing approaches to advocacy can spark public disagreements even among allies.
