The long-running feud between Chocolate City and rapper Odumodublvck has taken a fresh turn, with the record label filing a lawsuit over an alleged assault involving one of its staff members.
According to court documents, the label’s employee claimed he was working backstage at the Flytime Festival in Lagos on December 22, 2025, when Odumodublvck allegedly confronted him. The claimant said what appeared to be a casual conversation suddenly turned violent after the rapper allegedly punched him in the face and shoved him without warning.
The suit further alleged that the situation escalated despite the intervention of security officials. It claimed the rapper continued issuing threats while one of his associates allegedly poured alcohol on the claimant, forcing security personnel to evacuate him from the area for his safety.
The claimant said the incident left him with injuries to his face, neck and other parts of his body, along with emotional trauma that required medical treatment. He also alleged that the injuries prevented him from travelling with a Chocolate City artiste for international engagements and caused him to miss several jobs during the busy festive season.
As part of the case, the claimant is seeking compensation for medical bills, related expenses, lost earnings estimated at ₦50 million and other damages, arguing that the alleged attack disrupted both his career and personal well-being.
The case is now before the Lagos State High Court, where the claimant is asking the court to declare that the alleged actions amounted to unlawful assault and battery. Odumodublvck has been given the stipulated time under the writ to respond to the claims.
