Dr Danielle Adewusi has officially joined the race for the Miss Universe Nigeria 2026 crown.
The medical doctor, who was among the top five finalists at the Miss Universe Great Britain 2023 pageant, announced her decision on Instagram with a campaign video, expressing her desire to represent Nigeria on the global stage.
In her post, Adewusi described her journey as one built on purpose and service. She pointed to her work as the founder of the women’s health charity, Scrub The Stigma, saying she has dedicated herself to improving healthcare access and education for women and girls.
She wrote:
“Road to Miss Universe Nigeria 2026! My story is one of legacy and purpose.
As a medical doctor and the founder of my women’s health charity, Scrub The Stigma, I have dedicated my life to improving access to healthcare and education for women and girls.
Now, I hope to amplify this impact while proudly representing Nigeria with that same purpose.
I am Dr Danielle Adewusi and I hope to be your next Miss Universe Nigeria ✨ Join me on this journey!”
Aside from her medical career, Adewusi is also an international speaker, model and talented cellist. She previously represented England at the Miss Universe Great Britain 2023 competition, where she finished in the top five.
Her announcement has generated excitement among pageant fans, with many expressing support for her bid to become Nigeria’s next representative at Miss Universe.
