Nollywood actress Jumoke Odetola has announced that she has embraced a new calling as a minister of God.
The actress made the announcement while responding to concerns from fans about her absence from the screen.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Odetola revealed that she had entered what she described as a new season in her relationship and service to God.
She also appealed to members of the public to pray for her as she begins the new chapter, saying she had been compelled by God to dedicate herself to His work.
“I’m now a minister of God. I am entering a new season with God. I need all the prayers in this season.
“When God compels you, you may delay, but you cannot escape the call,” she said.
The actress did not provide further details about how her new calling would affect her acting career or whether she intends to step away from Nollywood permanently.
