Nigerian actor and content creator, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has expressed appreciation to people who supported him during what he described as one of the most difficult periods of his life.

The entertainer shared his reflections in a post on X on Saturday, revealing that he became emotional after reading messages from people who recalled various ways he had helped them over the years.

According to Mr Macaroni, many of the acts of kindness mentioned by people were things he had forgotten, prompting him to reflect on the support he had received throughout his own difficult period.

“I think this is God’s way of telling me to also be thankful!!! I have been thinking too much about what I lost instead of thanking God for seeing me through one of the hardest moments of my life,” he wrote.

The content creator said he had become accustomed to giving to others and found it difficult to ask for assistance when he needed it.

“I am used to always giving and hardly ever receiving because everyone thought I had in abundance. I have also always found it difficult to ask for help,” he said.

Mr Macaroni disclosed that an unnamed individual repeatedly helped him settle his debts during the difficult period, describing the intervention as something he believed was only possible through divine intervention.

“God used one person to settle all that I owed! And this help came over and over again! I don’t think any sane person would do what he did for me without God’s intervention!” he wrote.

He also expressed gratitude to his fans and close supporters, whom he affectionately referred to as “Mr Macaroni & Friends,” for remaining by his side.

“To my closest people in the World (Mr Macaroni & Friends) Thank you for not neglecting me even when you had every reason to. Thank you for saving me,” he wrote.

The actor singled out music executive Don Jazzy for special appreciation, saying the music mogul had supported him since his university days.

“To Don Jazzy, who has been giving me since my university days up till now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do, not just for me but for so many others!!!” he said.

Mr Macaroni also acknowledged the support he received from Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji.

Reflecting on the challenges he had experienced, the content creator said he was now “in a better place” and had begun focusing on learning and pursuing activities that brought him happiness.

“I don’t and will never regret anything I have ever done in my life to make the lives of others better in even the smallest way possible,” he said.

His post also prompted several followers to share their own memories of his generosity.

One follower, Gilmore, recalled Mr Macaroni’s support for videographers, writing, “You came for my first YouTube skit in 2024 still share bundle give videographers.”

Another follower, #Olúseun Onigbinde, wrote, “May your tribe increase. Keep riding on a bicycle!”

#Victor Nwoke also recalled receiving financial support from the actor during a previous encounter, writing, “I remember when you came for your renewal of visa at our office, you gave me and my colleagues 200 dollars each… Thank you so much.”

#Abiodun A. Adeleke added, “Everything I’ve heard about you every single time are good and wonderful things. Well done man. Well done.”

Mr Macaroni concluded his message by reflecting on the lessons he had gained from his experiences and expressing hope that kindness would continue to outweigh negativity.

“May the love in our hearts be forever greater than the hate in the world,” he concluded.
