The Labour Party has elected Senator Nenadi Usman as its new National Chairman at its national convention held on Tuesday in Umuahia, Abia State.
The announcement was made in a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ken Asogwa.
The convention also produced other members of the National Working Committee. Rt. Hon. Iheanacho Obioma emerged as National Secretary, while Mrs. Nike Oriola was elected Deputy National Chairman. Ken Eluma Asogwa became National Publicity Secretary, Mrs. Oluchi Oparah was named National Organising Secretary, and Comrade Anslem Eragbe was elected National Financial Secretary. Hilda Dokubo also emerged as National Women Leader, among other officials.
The newly elected National Working Committee was later sworn in and has officially assumed office.
